Shehu Sani commends Emefiele's Suspension

The distinguished former senator and political critic, Shehu Sani has spoken out on the arrest of the suspended CBN governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele.

"The eviction of Emefiele is commendable," he said in a tweet. "The  appointment of Shonubi as acting Governor is commendable. But the Housecleaning of the CBN can only be done by engaging a team of auditors from OUTSIDE of the CBN. Only they can professionally and thoroughly probe the apex Bank and tell the country how the Bank was run under Buhari’s Emefiele. The CBN was operated as an ATM of the Cabal, a Canteen and Cash Cow of the parasitic elites of the past administration.

"The Senate and CBN; They summoned him on Naira redesign and cash withdrawal limit, he shunned them and they invited him on the N500 DBN disbursement, he shunned them. The Buhari’s FG played with the Senate and the CBN like a toy. Lawan’s senate failed to hold the Governor accountable. He tied their hands.

"Buhari’s Government withdrew money from the CBN, spent it and then went to the National Assembly to seek for an approval of the money they have already spent.That was how the Country was governed.


"The revelations that will come out of the Central Bank will be the moral scoresheet of the Buhari administration, and not his number of ‘cows that have not increased’ after eight years."

Annie Okonkwo, a former senator and industrialist, has died at the age of 63 after a long battle with a terminal illness.
